Sumac
The sumac is a reddish shrub whose ground fruit has been used since Antiquity to cure and stain skins, but also as a condiment for its pleasant sour taste and slightly acidic aroma in countries like Turkey and Iran, where it is sprinkled on kebabs, rice, salads, fish, chicken and hummus.
It is a spice with numerous benefits associated with containing numerous beneficial nutrients (vitamins A and C, potassium, calcium and magnesium) and antioxidant, digestive, diuretic and cardiovascular properties, as it acts as a cholesterol regulator.
