Grape Syrup
Grape Syrup
The grape syrup, is made by boiling grapes, removing their skins, squeezing them through a sieve to extract the juice, so it has traditionally been considered as a way of making sweet without the need for sugar.
Its use is very popular in the Middle East, especially in Iran, where it is used to sweeten ardeh or tahini. On the other hand, in Europe, it is commonly used in the preparation of desserts (waffles, pancakes, vincotto, etc.) and sweet wines, such as sherry, Malaga and Marsala.
